The IRS is getting tougher on employer reporting errors. At the same time, we are seeing an increase in questions involving proper reporting procedures. Join industry leading expert Regan Debban for a deep-dive into doing it right!
Registration will be capped to ensure small-group discussion
The master class will begin with a brief overview of the reporting requirements and deadlines, but the majority of the class will focus more on the details, providing familiarity with the following:
1
Lines 21 and 22, as well as Part III of the Form 1094-C, including aggregated ALE status, certifications of eligibility, and perhaps most importantly,
2
All series 1 and 2 codes, including how to apply them and combine them, for reporting on Lines 14 and 16 in Part II of the Form 1095-C; and
3
Reporting coverage information either on Form 1095-B or in Part III of Form 1095-C.
We will discuss not only the most common coding combinations, but we will also cover a variety of more unique scenarios and discuss how to code them. In addition, we will address how reporting efforts are coordinated, whether the employer does them by hand, using a software program, or through a vendor’s system.
Through a combination of instruction and discussion, the intent is for attendees to better understand the complex reporting requirements to be able to address more of their clients’ procedural and coding questions as they work through the reporting process.
