Health savings accounts (HSAs) are accounts from which contributed funds may be used to reimburse most §213(d) qualifying medical expenses on a tax-favored basis. 

Funds can be contributed by both the employee and the employer.

HSAs are individually owned.

HSAs are generally not considered group health plans
